This cake was created for Slice, Slice Baby by +Santai, Singapore's first Cake Picnic-inspired event. I wanted to hop on the pistachio bandwagon, but did not want to step into the kunafa chocolate cake world that everyone seemed to love! There are plenty of talented bakers who have created fantastic renditions. I just don't think I can. So this is what I came up with! This cake is a pistachio olive oil sponge, filled with dark cherry compote and layered with tahini & caramelised white chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream. Please not that the edible flowers used for cake adornment may not be identical to the ones pictured on our website. Product Details: This 8-inch, 3-layer cake can serve between 8-12 people. Contains ground pistachios, dairy, eggs, chocolate, sesame, wheat. Please note that our products might contain traces of nuts and gluten as we do not have a nut-free or gluten-free kitchen.

I can never decide if I like a crunchy or a soft cookie. This one however, is crisp on the outer edges but soft in the middle. Gomashio Cookies

I think about this cookie a lot, it definitely is my new favourite. Gomashio is a Japanese sesame salt. This tahini based cookie is the epitome of umami. It is both sweet and savoury and nutty.
