Reward your Dad with one of the best vintages and celebrate Father's Day with our finest selection of Bordeaux wines. The 2016 Château Le Crock is a wine from the Saint Estephe appellation produced from a blend of four grape varieties, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged in 30% new oak. On the nose, the 2016 vintage of Château Le Crock exhibits an intense bouquet of black fruits, interspersed with woody notes. The 2020 Reserve De Comtesse De Lalande is a beautiful wine in the making that certainly tastes like a mini-version of the Grand Vin. Lots of crème de cassis, blueberries, violets, tobacco, and earth all define the nose, and it hits the palate with a forward, medium to full-bodied, supple texture that already begs to be drunk. I love its balance, the purity of fruit is terrific, and the tannins are spot on as well. It ranks as one of the top second wines in the vintage and will have two decades of prime drinking. 2019 Estate Point Noir, Domaine de la Cote, California

About the Wine: One of the defining elements of the western edge of the Santa Rita Hills is the geology and topography of the land. In fact, this is exactly what drew us to this small corner of the appellation, where giant formations of ancient diatomaceous shale beds rise to a thousand feet over the Santa Ynez River. Here, we knew the vineyards would take years to become established, working relentlessly to drive their roots into the bedrock searching for small deposits of water and nutrients. These sedimentary soils, that over 20 million years have slowly decomposed and fractured, today offer exceptional terroirs for the cultivation of Pinot Noir. This geological wonder, combined with the marine chilled climate, is what makes Domaine de la Côte so incredibly unique and special. Tasting Notes: Deep ruby in color, the 2019 DDLC is a rich, joyous, and crowd-pleasing wine that interweaves contrasting qualities to achieve sneaky complexity. While its palate revels in ripe, juicy, soothing fruit, the wine is anything but shapeless. Rather it holds an intricate structure that juxtaposes dense layers of soft, thick tannins with undeniably pulsating, acid-driven energy. Aromatically, the wine exults in ripe, sun-drenched fruit that introduces ebullient tropical notes to classic pinot noir flavors of red and black berries. Wine is aged 14 months in 20% new french oak. Serving Suggestions: Frito misto, grilled oysters, fried chicken sandwich, ratato

2016 San Felice Campogiovanni Rosso di Montalcino

About the Wine: In 1982, San Felice purchased the wine estate of CAMPOGIOVANNI in Montalcino, comprised of 20 hectares on the southern slope of that wine zone, and began producing Brunello. With the 1990 vintage, Campogiovanni entered the ranks of the elite of Montalcino by winning 7th place in the Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of the World. Tasting Notes: Woodland-berry, fragrant blue-flower, wild-herb and new leather aromas lead the nose. Fresh and savory, the smooth accessible palate doles out raspberry compote, juicy Marasca cherry and licorice framed in polished tannins. This beautifully balanced Rosso di Montalcino , matured 12 months in Slavonian oak casks. "A textbook Sangiovese, offering cherry, leather, earth and wild herb flavors that fade into light, dusty tannins.” – BS of Wine Spectator Grape Variety: 100% Sangiovese Awards: Decanter - 93 points and Wine Spectator - 90 points. Serving Suggestions: Pasta dishes with meat, mushroom or truffle ragout. Main courses of pork or veal in sauce.

2019 Chiara Condello Romagna Sangiovese di Predappio

Nestled in Emilia-Romagna, an emerging appellation sandwiched between Tuscany, Lombardy and Veneto, Chiara Condello is our best discovery from Italy thus far. Producing pure and expressive Sangiovese, her wines have been eagerly sought out by many world-famous sommeliers. Much of her production has been heavily allocated to restaurants in Europe and beyond, including the three Michelin star Mirazur in France. The wine tastes of dark fruit, herbs, hints of red and black licorice, and baking spices. There’s also a mineral note and a firm tannic grip. The oak influence is restrained — the wine was aged for one year in neutral oak, in 3,500-liter Slovenian barrels known as botti. 100% Sangiovese aged in large neutral oak. From the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy.

2019 Jamet Collines Rhodaniennes Valine Syrah

About the Wine: An absolutely stunning wine from Jean-Luc Jamet, whose star has been on the rise since 2013, when he and his brother, Jean-Paul, split the famous Jamet estate. Such has been the animosity between the two brothers that they no longer speak to each other and have built a huge stone wall to divide the two properties. Jean-Luc had been the viticulturist at Domaine Jamet and we’ve pinned our colors to his mast, because great wine is made in the vineyard not the cellar. His Syrah ‘Valine’ comes from vineyards adjacent to Cote Rotie, so it can’t take advantage of the appellation’s cachet, which means it’s exactly the sort of wine we love, because it has to work harder to get noticed. Wine Accolodes: 4.1 out of 5 points (Vivino) Tasting Notes: Hints of tapenade and sweet, new, shoe leather. Faintest whisper of reduction in the background. Upfront and vibrant raspberry fruit. The tannins are supple and this is juicy, mid-weight and fragrant. The ripeness at the core is really satisfying and this would easily be on a par with many a Crozes Hermitage or even St Joseph. Fruit is persistently sweet through the line but the finish is savoury. I can see myself upgrading this again and again - it's just beautiful to quaff. Grape Variety: 100% Syrah Serving Suggestions: ideal pairing with stew duck, chinese style claypot rice with chinese sausage, bbq pork jerky (bak kwa), pork chop etc.

Medium-bodied, the palate is juicy and refreshing, with a light chewiness to the tannins and bags of freshness, finishing savory. Highly rated by Decanter Nov 2022 publication.
