Japan Wild Meat Sea Seal Curry

Curry is one of the most popular dishes in Japan (certainly outshines some of the "Japanese standards" like sushi or tempura)... but seal? In the northern part of Japan, on the island of Hokkaido and other places where the indigenous people Ainu live, seal meat has been eaten for centuries. Some would say it is an acquired taste but others would also say the same for sashimi, right? The Hokkaido Canned Seal Meat comes straight from Sapporo, containing spotted seal meat dressed in spicy curry sauce. The flavor is strong and, well, fishy (this is a sea animal after all) but it certainly goes well with the burn of the curry. Curry is usually served with regular rice in Japan so we recommend trying it this way first. The Hokkaido Canned Seal Meat Curry features: Local delicacy of Hokkaido 410g (14.4 oz) Includes sugar, starch, caramel color Expiration date: 1 year After opening, transfer the contents to a different container, store in refrigerator and consume quickly Made in Japan

Japan Wild Meat Bear Curry Canned

Japanese Hunter in Hokkaido will eat anything! But who can blame them with temperatures being pretty much what you'd expect when sharing a latitude with Siberia? When you have those kinds of winters, you also have bears and with the Japanese love of curry, a Canned Bear Meat Curry seems like the next logical step. So what does it taste like? Much more agreeable than what you'd expect from a wild animal: rather dense and fatty when it comes to texture, and mixing very well with the hot and spicy taste of curry. Add in the exotic tint of the whole experience and you'll agree it's certainly worth a try. It might even make you want to move to Hokkaido! The Canned Bear Meat Curry features: Product of Hokkaido, Japan Contains wheat, starch, skim milk powder, sugar, corn oil, beef extract, etc 410g (14.4 oz) Expiration date: 1 year After opening, transfer the contents to a different container, store in refrigerator and consume quickly Made in Japan
