My mum, who is turning 70 this year, never asks for a second serving of cake after dinner—but she did after having yours 🤭 We really enjoyed the subtle sweetness of the cake and the fresh strawberries layered within the cake, rather than placed entirely on top, which can sometimes dry out. Personally, I felt the cake layers were very soft, and I wondered if a taller, double-height version might create a slightly different overall texture.
