Pang's traditional Hakka abacus seeds wok fried with garlic, Chinese leek, dried shrimps, dried cuttlefish, Chinese mushroom, black fungus, minced pork, Chinese celery, garnished with fried shallot and spring onion. Each packet is approximately 500g, good for 3 to 4 persons.

Pang's Hakka Abacus Seeds Kit (Frozen) 小 彭 客 家 算 盘 子 (冷冻)(for 1 to 2pax) ***AVAILABLE ON THE 10th February***
each kits contains the following; 2 x 127g of frozen Abacus Seeds 1pkt of mushroom slices and black fungus slices 1pkt of dried shrimp and shredded cuttlefish INSTRUCTION 1) Remove the abacus seeds from the tray, keep them frozen. 2) Bring a pot of water to a boil, add the abacus seeds in frozen state and boil until it floats, simmer for a minute more. 3) strain and cool on an oiled tray. 4) rehydrate the mushroom and black fungus with warm water and drain dry. 5) rehydrate the dried shrimp and shredded cuttlefish with warm water and drain dry. 6) heat up a wok and add sufficient oil, add dried shrimp and cuttlefish, fry till fragrant. 7) add chopped garlic *optional (approx. 10g) and fry till fragrant. 8) add minced pork *optional (approx. 40g) and fry till cooked through. 9) add mushroom and black fungus, fry briefly. 10) add Abacus Seeds and stir fry, season with fish sauce and white pepper powder. 11) add chopped Chinese celery *optional and combine well. 12) dish out onto your favorite ware and garnish with fried shallot and spring onion. 13) if you can't handle wok well, a non-stick pan will work better. 14) each kit is approx. 266g, good for 1 to 2 persons.

客家娘酒 or Hakka "Mother" Wine are brewed in the most traditional way of using only specially selected glutinous rice, "wine biscuit" and water from an ancient well. A special technique of smoking the wine gives the wine it's characteristic caramel tone and deepen the taste. This unique wine is made in the most authentic way as Hakkas do for hundreds of years. As it's name suggested, Hakka wines are usually made by the mother of the household and so it has been affectionately known as "娘酒" or "Mother" wine.
