STAY is the Maldives’ first room‑booking platform focused on domestic travel. We help people living in the Maldives, including locals and expatriates discover and book daily-rent rooms, guesthouses, hotels, and affordable resort stays across the country.
2. Who can book on STAY?
Anyone aged 18 and above can book. The platform is built especially for people living in the Maldives, whether citizens or residents.
3. What types of places can I book?
You can book Daily-Rent Rooms, Guesthouses and Hotels in Greater Male' and other islands or Budget and luxury resort offers with verified local/expat pricing.
4. What makes STAY different?
Mainstream booking platforms often show international prices. We focus on fair local/expat rates, simplified island travel, and full transparency, including transfer costs, stay inclusions, and eligibility info.
5. Do I need to show documents when I book or check in?
Yes. You may be asked to show: A valid Maldivian ID, or A passport with a Maldivian visa or work permit. This helps confirm you’re eligible for local/expat pricing when required.
6. Is STAY suitable for short trips to Male' City?
Absolutely. Many travelers use STAY to book rooms in Male' and Hulhumale, especially for medical visits, short business trips and weekend getaways.
7. What are the cancellation and refund policies?
Each property has its own cancellation policy. STAY does not charge any additional cancellation fees. Refunds (if applicable) are processed based on the property’s policy.
8. How do I make a payment?
You can pay online via bank transfer. All prices are displayed in Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) unless stated otherwise.
