About Us
Every bottle has a beginning and so do we.

Root & Fizz began as a university student's curiosity, brewing kombucha in a small corner of her home with nothing more than a SCOBY, a few tea leaves and a passion for fermentation.

What started as an experiment soon became a routine, then a hobby, and eventually a dream worth sharing. After countless batches, recipe refinements, and encouragement from friends and family, Root & Fizz was born.

Today, every bottle is still brewed in small batches using carefully selected tea, quality ingredients and the same patience that inspired our very first brew.

From our home brewery to your fridge, thank you for supporting local and being part of our journey 🌱 #proudlybrewedinSG

What is kombucha?
Kombucha is a naturally fermented tea made using tea, sugar, and a live culture (SCOBY). During fermentation, the culture transforms the sweetened tea into a refreshing, lightly sparkling beverage with a pleasantly tangy taste.

Why is your kombucha naturally fermented?
Great kombucha takes time. Every bottle is brewed through traditional fermentation in small batches, creating its signature flavour and gentle fizz.

Please note: As a naturally fermented beverage, each batch may vary slightly in flavour, carbonation, and appearance. This is part of what makes every bottle unique.

Why is there sediment or floating bits in my bottle?
That's completely normal! As a naturally fermented drink, you may notice harmless yeast strands or tiny pieces of culture. Simply give the bottle a gentle swirl before enjoying if you prefer.

How long does it last?
We recommend enjoying your kombucha before the best-before date indicated on the bottle. Once opened, it's best consumed within 2 weeks while kept refrigerated.

Why is my bottle so fizzy?
Natural carbonation continues to develop over time. Open your bottle slowly and keep it chilled for the best drinking experience.

Always remember to tighten the cap after opening!

How should I enjoy it?
Serve chilled! You can enjoy it straight from the bottle or pour it into a glass over ice for an extra refreshing sip.
