COMPANY PROFILE
The success story of Marimin Prawn Crackers began in the 80s. Started with small scale family business, created and managed by Hajah Siti Mariam Binti Haji Abas, the company started the business by making and selling the delicious crackers for the local market.
Due to the home-based business operation was no longer met the product demand, Syarikat Marimin Dan Anak-Anak was legally registered in 1989 and in the year 2000 the company moved to a proper production plant at one unit of the Beribi 1 Industrial Complex, in Gadong.
In the year 2000, Mr Khairulazman, son of Hajah Siti Mariam joined the company and given position as a General Manager. With freshly knowledge and experience that Mr Khairulazman gained from Australia, the company now had improved a lot in term or production capacity and marketing, In the short-term, his target was to increase the existing production capacities and expecting to gain overseas market share in the long-term.
Technically, the company now ready or has the capacity to produce the product for export purpose.
The company has improved the machinery and the progressing made since year 2000 was:
➡Upgrade Mixing machine
➡ Has own cold room and chillier
➡ High capacity oven dryer for drying process
➡ Upgrade slicing machine
➡ Set a new processing plant
➡ Fully Auto Packaging Machine
In July, 2004, Syarikat Marimin was awarded the SME IDBB 2003 Award in the category of Most Promising Entrepreneur Award by the Islamic Development Bank of Brunei Berhad (IDBB). The company main product is the prawn crackers. Locally the products are available at all supermarkets and small retailers. In the year 2007, the company had made a deal to export its product to Dubai and a first FCL cracker was sent in August 2007. Unfortunately, due to changing for Dubai company management team, this transaction are not continually done as agreed.
The products are sold to the end-user in two types of packaging:

In the year 2008 Syarikat Marimin Dan Anak-anak is converted from Enterprise Company to Private
Limited Company as Marimin Sendirian Berhad.
