Our Story

Story Of Mana Bay

A long time ago, the natives of Polynesian islands believed in the power of Mana – the spiritual energy that flows through all things, living or not. The island of Oia'I'O was enriched with Mana flowing from their volcano, which made way for the people of the island to live a peaceful life. But an ancient prophecy foretold the destruction of the island caused by a volcanic eruption. But the prophecy also mentioned another island, a land far away from Oia'I'O, where the trees, the soil, the water and even the animals chanted the tune 'Ke Ola' – Life. But in order to carry the flow of Mana in this new island, 4 Mana stones needed to be placed at 4 corners of the island. And so a family of 4 from the island set out on their quest to look for the power stones and establish the flow of Mana in this new island before the prophecy comes true. At different points of their journey they come across 4 wisdom warriors – Manu, Honu, Naia and Lupe who join the family in their quest, eventually becoming a part of their tribe. And together, they restore hope for the people of the island by creating what came to be known as Mana Bay™

Mana bay: More Than Just a Water Park
The thematic design (volcano, Polynesian motifs) elevates it from “just slides in a pool” to a themed leisure resort. Its ambition to act as a destination (with spa, cabanas, potential river villas, indoor arena) shows it’s meant to be an all-day or multi-visit locale. By emphasizing safety, global design standards, and immersive experience, it positions Bangladesh’s recreation offering at an international level. It contributes to local economy / tourism: The management has mentioned they aim to create jobs, boost local region.

So in short: yes, it’s a water park — but it’s positioned as a full leisure & lifestyle destination, not just rides and splash.
