## ❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
⏰ When should I place my order?
We strongly recommend placing your order online in advance.
Online ordering closes at our displayed daily cut-off time so that our team can finalise orders and begin preparing meals.
Ordering early also gives you the best chance of securing popular meals before they sell out.
🌅 Can I place an online order in the morning for the same day?
No. Same-day online morning orders are not accepted.
Our online ordering system is designed for pre-orders.
Closing online orders in advance allows our kitchen team to finalise quantities, prepare meals and have everything ready in time for first break.
🕐 What happens if I miss the online ordering cut-off?
Don't worry — your child may still place an order directly at the tuckshop during the designated morning ordering period; 06:30 to 07:30 daily, subject to availability.
Please note that morning ordering has a strict cut-off so that learners can get to class and our team can begin preparing lunch orders.
Alternatively, you can place your online order for the next available school day.

🎟️ What is a collection coupon?
Learners who collect their meals from the tuckshop receive a collection coupon showing what has been ordered for them.
Collecting the coupon in the morning is a very quick process and usually takes less than a minute.
The learner then brings the coupon to the tuckshop at first break, helping us serve everyone much faster.
🎟️ When should my child collect their coupon?
Please remind your child to collect their coupon in the morning before school starts.
This means they already know exactly what they will be collecting at first break.
Having coupons ready also helps us move the collection line much faster.
😅 What if my child forgets their collection coupon?
Don't panic — we can still verify the order.
The coupon simply helps us identify and hand over orders much faster, so we strongly encourage learners to collect and keep it with them until break.
🍽️ Where does my child collect their food?
Learners who collect their own meals, Grade 4-7 & LSEN Snr, should come to The Green Bite collection window at first break with their collection coupon ready.
Orders for younger learners who qualify for classroom delivery, Grade RR-3, will be delivered according to the school's normal delivery arrangement.
👧 Does my younger child need to collect their order?
For learners, Grade RR-3 & LSEN Jnr, meals are delivered directly to their classroom, they do not need to queue at the tuckshop during break.
Their orders will be prepared and delivered according to the school's normal classroom delivery arrangement.
🛒 Can my child buy food without pre-ordering?
Yes.
Learners may purchase available items directly from the tuckshop during the applicable sales periods.
However, stock and availability cannot be guaranteed.
If there is a particular meal your child wants, pre-ordering online is always recommended.
📅 Can I order for several days in advance?
Yes!
Where dates are available on our ordering platform, you're welcome to plan ahead and place orders in advance.
It's an easy way to get school lunches sorted ahead of time.
🥪 What happens if something is sold out?
Some meals, specials, combos and snacks are available in limited quantities.
Once an item is sold out, we may not be able to accommodate additional orders.
We recommend pre-ordering early to avoid disappointment.
📅 I selected the wrong collection date. What should I do?
Please WhatsApp The Green Bite as soon as possible.
Send us:
• Your order number
• Learner's name
• The incorrect date
• The correct date required
We'll assist where possible.
✏️ Can I change an order after placing it?
Please contact us on WhatsApp as soon as possible if you've made a mistake or need to request a change.
Once the kitchen has started preparing orders, changes may no longer be possible.
🚫 What if my child is absent from school?
Please contact us as soon as possible if your child will not be at school and has an order scheduled.
Depending on how far preparation has progressed, we'll advise you of the available options.
🥜 What about allergies or dietary requirements?
If your child has an allergy or specific dietary requirement, please contact The Green Bite before ordering so that we can confirm whether the selected meal is suitable.
Please do not assume that a menu item is allergen-free unless this has been confirmed with us.
