The Gold Spot Pleco (Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus), also known by its L-numbers L001 or L022, is a large, hardy armored catfish from the Amazon Basin in Brazil. It features a dark brown to black body covered in striking golden-yellow spots, a large sail-like dorsal fin, and a broad sucker mouth.
