NT Labs Aquarium AxoCure is an award-winning, gill-safe medicine bath treatment specifically formulated to eliminate external parasitic infections in axolotls. Because axolotls are highly sensitive amphibians, standard fish medications often contain harmful ingredients; AxoCure provides a targeted, safe therapeutic formula.
Target Parasites
The product is purposely created to treat three primary external microscopic parasites:
Monogenetic trematodes (flukes)
Ichthyobodo genus (costia)
Chilodonella uncinata
Common Symptoms Treated
You should consider using this treatment if your axolotl displays signs of external irritation, which are often triggered or worsened by poor water conditions:
Excess mucus or slime coat secretion
Skin blisters, open sores, or lesions
Skin patchiness, rapid colour loss, peeling, or a chalky appearance
Frequent scratching or rubbing against aquarium decor
Important Usage Instructions
This product must never be poured directly into your main display aquarium. It is exclusively designed to be used as a short-term, isolated medical bath.
Dosage: Mix 5ml of AxoCure per 1 litre of clean, dechlorinated water in a separate quarantine container. A standard 100ml bottle is sufficient to treat 10 separate 2L baths.
Bath Duration: Place the axolotl into the treated container. Check on your pet hourly. Do not leave them in the bath for more than 8 hours.
Frequency: Treatment can be administered for a maximum of two consecutive days. If the parasitic symptoms persist after two weeks, the two-day treatment process can be repeated.
Pre-Treatment Check: Always use a reliable testing kit to check your water parameters first. Poor water quality frequently mimics parasite symptoms, and chemical issues must be corrected in the main tank alongside treating the animal.
