NT Labs Aquarium Anti-White Spot & Fungus is a highly effective, 7-day course of treatment formulated to eradicate protozoan parasites (like Ich/White Spot) and fungal growths in freshwater aquariums. Using active ingredients Malachite Green and Formaldehyde, it works by disrupting the complex lifecycle of parasites while remaining safe for most delicate aquarium inhabitants.
When to Use
Administer this treatment immediately if you observe any of the following symptoms in your fish:
Tiny white dots scattered across the fins, mouth, or body that resemble grains of salt.
Flicking or rubbing against tank decor and gravel due to skin irritation.
A grey, velvety film coating the body of the fish.
White, cotton wool-like growths emerging from the mouth, fins, or skin surfaces.
Strict 7-Day Dosing Schedule
This medication requires a specific multi-dose structure to target free-swimming juvenile parasites as they hatch. Do not perform water changes between doses unless it is an absolute emergency.
Day 1: Add the first full dose.
Day 3: Add the second full dose.
Day 5: Add the third full dose.
Day 7: Add the final fourth dose.
Post-Treatment: Leave the medication in the tank for 7 additional days after Day 7, then execute a partial water change.
Application Instructions
Calculate Tank Volume: Determine your exact water volume in litres. You can use the NT Labs Dosage Calculator or multiply length x width x depth (in cm) and divide by 1,000.
Prepare the Dose: Shake the bottle thoroughly. Mix the required dose into 1 litre of existing aquarium water inside a clean container.
Introduce Slowly: Pour the mixture slowly into the aquarium to prevent shocking your fish.
Remove Carbon Filters: Take out any activated carbon from your filter system before starting, as carbon will absorb and neutralise the active medication.
Key Considerations & Safety
Water Discoloration: The formula will temporarily dye your water green. This is completely normal and will fade naturally a few days after the final dose is administered.
Staining Warning: The liquid will heavily stain skin, clothes, and porous surfaces. Handle with care and wear protective gloves.
Invertebrate Safety: NT Labs states this concentration is safe for plants, filter bacteria, snails, and shrimp. However, if you house highly sensitive or scaleless fish (like loaches), you can split the daily dose into two half-doses spread throughout the single day.
