NT Labs Aquarium Algae Gone is a fast-acting, single-dose liquid water treatment explicitly formulated to clear green water, algae blooms, and cloudy water in indoor fish tanks. It works via a dual-action mechanism: it binds microscopic floating algae and debris into larger clumps so your mechanical filter can trap them, while simultaneously locking away algae-promoting phosphates to starve future growth.

Key Benefits & Safety
Dual Action: Clumps suspended green water particles and actively binds phosphates.
Water Clarity: Restores crystal-clear water caused by blooms, overfeeding, or organic fish waste.
Broad Compatibility: Safe for use in both tropical and coldwater freshwater aquariums.
Inhabitant Safe: Formulated to be completely plant-friendly and safe for sensitive inhabitants like freshwater shrimp.

Step-by-Step Dosing Instructions
Clean the Glass First: Physically scrape heavy algae buildup off the glass using an algae pad or magnetic scraper before treating the water.
Calculate Your Exact Water Volume: Measure your aquarium dimensions in centimeters:

Deduct roughly 10–20% for water displaced by gravel, rocks, and ornaments to avoid overdosing.
Measure the Dosage: The standard dosage rate is 10 ml of Algae Gone for every 50 litres of aquarium water.

A 100ml bottle treats up to 500L of total water.
A 250ml bottle treats up to 1,250L of total water.

Mix and Administer: Shake the bottle thoroughly. Take 1 litre of clean aquarium water, mix your measured dose into it, and slowly add the mixture back into your tank.
Post-Treatment Filter Maintenance: Because the treatment aggressively clumps particles together, your filter pads will clog quickly as they strain out the debris. Clean or replace your filter wool/mechanical media shortly after the water clarifies to permanently remove the trapped organic matter from your system.

Long-Term Algae Prevention Strategies
Chemical treatments resolve the immediate bloom, but algae is always a symptom of an underlying system imbalance. Use these rules of thumb to prevent the green water from returning:
Control the Photoperiod: Keep aquarium lights on a strict timer for only 6 to 8 hours daily and move the tank completely out of direct sunlight.
Manage Nutrient Levels: Avoid overfeeding. Only feed what your fish can completely consume within two minutes.
Employ Active Media: If your water continues to suffer from high phosphate levels, place NT Labs Phosphate Remover inside your filter matrix to continuously lock away the algae's primary food source.
Perform Regular Water Changes: Change 25% to 50% of your tank water weekly to dilute accumulated nitrates and fish waste before they feed an algae outbreak.
