Honeycomb Wood for aquariums is a natural decorative driftwood known for its unique, porous structure that resembles a honeycomb. This 20–30 cm size is typically classified as "Small" or "Medium" and is sold both by the individual piece and by weight (per kilogram).

Key Features and Preparation
Aesthetic & Utility: The wood features intricate arches, gaps, and a dark brown colour that becomes prominent when submerged. Its porous nature provides excellent surface area for microorganisms and retreats for small fish or shrimp.

Aquascaping: Frequently used in freshwater setups to recreate miniature trees or river landscapes due to its undulating shapes.

Preparation: It is essential to soak the wood for at least 15 days before placing it in an aquarium to allow it to "bleed" (release tannins) and become waterlogged so it sinks. Boiling can accelerate this process.

Water Chemistry: Like many driftwoods, it may release beneficial tannins that slightly soften the water and provide mild antibacterial properties.
