Tencha is a Chinese tea made from tree leaves, traditionally known as an herbal tea. It comes in various types, such as Rosaceae, Rubiaceae, Fagaceae, and Hydrangeaceae families. As the name suggests, this tea is known for its sweetness. Our tencha uses 100% Rubus suavissimus, a highly popular variety from the Rosaceae family.
Tencha contains polyphenols and mineral components and is naturally caffeine-free with almost zero calories. You can enjoy the naturally sweet taste from the rubusoside compound found in the tea.
🍵 How to Enjoy
🍃 Using a Mug:
Place one tea bag into a large mug (around 250 ml), pour boiling water over it, and let it steep for 3–4 minutes. Stir gently with a spoon to extract the flavor fully, then remove the tea bag and enjoy.
🍃 Using a Teapot:
Place one tea bag into a teapot, pour 200–300 ml of boiling water, and let it steep for 3–4 minutes. Pour evenly into teacups and serve.
🍃 Boiling Method (Hot Tea):
Place 2 tea bags into 1 liter of boiling water, simmer on low heat for 2–3 minutes, then remove the tea bags. Adjust the steeping time to your liking.
🍃 Chilled Iced Tea:
After boiling, let the tea cool completely, then transfer it to a container and refrigerate. Drink as soon as possible for the best flavor.
