12-speed systems have zero room for error. Please ensure these steps are followed:
Directionality: Like its 11-speed cousins, this chain is directional. The side with the Shimano logos must face OUTWARDS.
The Quick-Link: The included SM-CN910-12 Quick-Link is one-time use only. Once you snap it shut, do not open and reuse it, as the locking mechanism weakens.
Quick-Link Arrow: Ensure the arrow on the Quick-Link is pointing in the direction of the chain's forward rotation.
Chain Lube: 12-speed chains have very thin plates. To prevent premature wear, use a high-quality lubricant like Squirt Wax Lube to keep grit out of the tight tolerances.
