Grape Varietal: Areni Noir (possibly one of the oldest grape varieties in the world)
Areni has been present in Armenia for millennia
Colour of rich robust red. Full with energy, bright and vertical in the mouth with subtle spice. Soft red fruits are interwoven with earthiness and herbaceous characters on the palate. Vibrant chalky tannins, a touch of graphite with a long evolved mineral finish. (VIVINO publish its 2010 vintage as amongst top 2% of all wines in the world)
Pairs well with most grilled meats, with exceptional special memorable occasions.

According to archeological findings, Noah's ark remnants were possibly that found on Mount Ararat (located in Armenia, now technically under territory of Turkey)

A team of international archaeologists has discovered a wine press built for stomping grapes in the Areni cave in the south of Armenia. Analysis dated discoveries as more than 6000yrs ago.
Karas means ‘amphora’ in Armenian refers to the special hand-make earthen container used in Armenian wine making. It is also considered a sacred wine-making clay vessel used in Armenia for 6,000 years
