Qvevri (sometimes written as "Kvevri") refers to the special hand-make earthen container ( looks somewhat similar but bigger in size to amphorae (ancient vessels to store & transport wine). Qvevri are large earthen containers buried on ground & used in fermentation of Georgian wines (a technique traditionally passed down from generations to generations within family of wine makers... )
