Mosedin is a medication that contains Desloratadine, an antihistamine used primarily for the relief of allergy symptoms. It is effective in treating conditions such as allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Key Uses
Mosedin is indicated for:
- Allergic Rhinitis: Provides relief from symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and itchy or watery eyes caused by seasonal allergies or hay fever.
- Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria: Helps alleviate symptoms associated with chronic hives, including itching and rash.

Mechanism of Action
Desloratadine works by selectively blocking peripheral histamine H1 receptors, which helps reduce the effects of histamine in the body. This action alleviates allergy symptoms without causing significant sedation, as it does not readily cross the blood-brain barrier.

Dosage and Administration
- Recommended Dosage: The usual dosage for adults and children over 12 years is 5 mg once daily. For children aged 6 to 11 years, the dosage is typically 2.5 mg once daily.
- Administration Instructions: Mosedin can be taken with or without food. It is important to follow the healthcare provider's recommendations regarding dosage.

Common side effects may include:
- Drowsiness
