Cipladon is an effervescent tablet formulation containing 500 mg of paracetamol (acetaminophen). Each pack typically contains 16 tablets designed to dissolve in water for easier ingestion and faster absorption.

Cipladon is indicated for the relief of:
- Headaches: Including migraines and tension headaches.
- Fever: Effective in reducing fever associated with infections and illnesses.
- Pain Relief: Useful for toothaches, muscle aches, backaches, menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea), and discomfort from colds and flu.
- Rheumatic Aches and Pains: Provides symptomatic relief for various pain conditions.
Mechanism of Action
Paracetamol works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins in the brain, which are responsible for pain and fever. This mechanism allows it to effectively alleviate pain and lower body temperature.
Dosage and Administration
- Adults and Children (16 years and older): The typical dosage is 1 to 2 tablets dissolved in at least 200 ml of water, taken up to four times daily. The maximum dose should not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours.
- Children aged 12-15 years: One tablet can be taken every 4 to 6 hours, not exceeding a total of 4 doses in 24 hours.
To use, dissolve the tablet in water until fully dissolved before drinking. It is important to space doses at least 4 hours apart.
