🌿 A YEAR IN WATERCOLOUR — SEASON TWO
Form · Light · Layers · Botanical Details
Season Two builds upon the foundations of watercolour, taking us deeper into observation, colour, form and botanical painting.
Across 4 lessons (2 hours each), we will explore:
Lesson 1 — Seeing Form: Light & Shadow
Understanding tonal values, light, shadow and creating dimension in leaves and flowers.
Lesson 2 — Layering: Building Depth Slowly
Exploring transparent washes, glazing and building luminous colours through gentle layering.
Lesson 3 — Edges, Texture & Botanical Details
Studying branches, blossoms, veins and natural textures, learning when to add detail and when to leave things simple.
Lesson 4 — From Study to a Botanical Piece
Bringing together everything we’ve learnt to create a thoughtful botanical watercolour painting.

Our teaching philosophy — The Art of Noticing
We believe becoming a better artist begins with learning to observe. Our classes encourage students to slow down, appreciate nature’s colours and imperfections, and paint with greater understanding and confidence.
🌿 Small-group learning with personal guidance.
