Lauren's Grape is a Papaver somniferum cultivar, commonly called common poppy or breadseed poppy. The plant has an erect habit of hairy, toothed, gray-green leaves and a rapid growth rate.
START SEEDS OUTDOORS
(Fall-sown seeds will overwinter and germinate when soil warms in early spring.) If spring planting, sow in a fine-textured garden bed in full sun as early as the ground can be worked. Broadcast seeds as thinly and evenly as possible and rake in gently, or lightly cover 1⁄8 inch deep.
