Native to the Caribbean region, where they prefer the warm, moist climate, orca beans were first domesticated over 400 years ago. Through the ages, this petite heirloom variety has gone by a number of other names, too, including Calypso, Yin-Yang, and Vaquero.
Orca / Calypso / Yin Yang beans are so eye-catching people seem to fall in love at first sight. This unique shelling bean has beautiful half black and half white seeds. Growing Tips
Direct seeds in loose soil well after danger of frost in rows 12 - 18 inches apart. Plant 5-10ā apart. Plant height is 1-2 feet. Let mature until buckskin color and harvest on a dry day.
