Our sourdough is 💯 authentic, made the old-fashioned way with no yeast, oils or preservatives.
We use a 4yr old starter from a baker in Port Alfred, and the process takes 36-48 hours to turn only flour, water and a touch of salt into the most delicious sourdough 😊
Our dough is mixed slowly and carefully by hand, and we use both a warm and a cold ferment to extract the best flavours.
Our sourdough are designed to have a soft crust and fewer holes to allow for spreading of butter, jams, paté etc.
They freeze very well, and our gluten-intolerant and diabetic clients tell us it’s the best sourdough they have found!
