Le Clos L’Apogee have been using its vineyard since the 2010 vintage which include two plots planted with Merlot grape varieties, one 32 years old and the other 12 years old. Vinification is done in the traditional way with malolactic fermentation in barrels. Aging takes place in barrels for 16 months.
Grape varieties: 100% merlot
Color: A beautiful dress cut from a ruby fabric with brick highlights.
Nose: Toasted and roasted notes (coffee, hazelnut) with a patina of sweeter nuances of chocolate red fruits.
Mouth: A beautiful serosity on the attack reveals soft and generous tannins. Notes of lightly buttered toasted bread spread with red fruits round off this gourmet palate.
