The Ampang Kitchen brings to its guests authentic, masterly prepared Penang Peranakan dishes to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. It’s real home-cooked food made with real, fresh, locally, and overseas sourced ingredients that will ‘wow’ you and make you come back for more!    Chef Raymond Leong has been cooking Peranakan food for over 15 years and has put his heart and soul into perfecting and refining all his dishes! He chooses to stay true to the Penang Peranakan heritage and serves his guests authentic Penang Peranakan cuisine, the kind that your grandmother would spend all day cooking over a charcoal fire with the freshest herbs and spices!    -Half portions available (dishes that are listed twice indicates that the half portion is available). Using Beef shin which has streaks of tendon in the meat, cooked with our homemade Rompah (spice paste) that has 17 different herbs and spices, coconut milk, gula melaka and kresik (grated pan fried coconut) over 4 hours of slow fire. Unlike anything you have tasted! Our Penang Tau Yew Bak is a Penang home dish, using black soy sauce from a boutique supplier in Singapore to cook the Belly Pork. A Penang home recipe! To warn you, our Fried Satay Bohong is extremely addictive on its own and with rice! Using well marbled pork shoulder that is extremely tender, this is the fried "bluff" version that is without the satay sauce, hence the name! Cucumbers are given to go with the Satay Bohong and it gives a refreshing taste!
