Awetistic eBook
Hello
My son was diagnosed with Autism and I got the shock of my life. The fear of the unknown got the best of me but I am past that stage and now see him for how Awesome he is....he is Awetistic.
It got me to reading and researching more on Autism. We don't have a lot of resources or support for non physical limitations in here in Kenya and many are still uninformed, even adults about Autism. It's only when your child's behaviour is termed as indiscipline that it hits home just how much people don't know hence become intolerant. Many Mums I've met on this journey don't go to public places including Church with their babies
Wouldn't it be nice if awareness started from an early age? This eBook is aimed at children and it is more of a conversation starter. It's a simplified version of how we're experiencing the condition and will make a good basis to talk more about it and get our children to learn to accept those among them who are wired differently and by extension us too.
Get a copy for your children, nieces, nephews, class, Sunday school and support us on this journey to get the much needed interventions my son needs.
It's a journey we are on and I welcome you all along for the ride and we can all do a happy dance when he utters his first word (which I pray will be 'Mama').
