Grooming Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Confirmation
Payment Requirement: Appointments are only officially confirmed upon receipt of payment.
Address Disclosure: To maintain the privacy of our studio, the exact grooming address will be provided only after your appointment has been confirmed.
Lateness: As we operate on a strict artisan schedule, arrivals more than 15 minutes late may result in a shortened session or cancellation to avoid overlapping with the next client.
Cancellations: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Last-minute "no-shows" may be required to pay a non-refundable deposit for future bookings.
Collection: Rabbits must be collected promptly after the session as we do not provide day care or boarding facilities.
2. Health & Welfare (The Rabbit-First Policy)
Revolution Requirement: To maintain a parasite-free environment for all our guests, a Revolution application is required ($10 per application) for all grooming sessions.
Stress Management: We reserve the right to pause or stop grooming immediately if your bunny is deemed too stressed. Their safety is our absolute priority.
Senior & Palliative Care: Grooming can be stressful for fragile rabbits. Owners acknowledge that grooming is performed at the owner's risk for rabbits with chronic illnesses.
Health Disclosure: Owners must disclose any known health issues (e.g., head tilt, dental issues, respiratory snuffles, or recent surgeries) prior to the session.
Parasites: If a rabbit is found to have an active flea, mite, or fungal infestation, a surcharge for "Studio Deep Cleaning" will apply, and we may require the session to be rescheduled until treatment has begun.
3. Surcharges & Fees
Dematting: Severe matting requires extra time and specialized equipment. An additional $10–$30 surcharge may apply depending on the complexity and the rabbit's comfort levels.
Tier Accuracy: Final pricing is based on breed and weight. Large breeds (above 2.5kg) or long-coat bunnies will be charged according to their respective tiers.
Soiled Coats: Rabbits requiring extensive "butt baths" or cleaning due to cecal buildup will incur a hygiene surcharge.
4. Cancellations & Communication
WhatsApp Primary: All changes, cancellations, or inquiries regarding your booking must be communicated via WhatsApp (8202 2272).
Transport Requests: Please let us know in advance if you require transport assistance.
Mobile Grooming: We focus on studio sessions; however, for mobile grooming requests, please contact us directly for recommendations.
5. Liability Waiver
Inherent Risks: While every precaution is taken by an experienced rescuer, grooming involves inherent risks. Oishi Bunnies is not liable for health complications arising from stress or natural reactions during or after the session.
Natural Risks: Grooming involves sharp tools near delicate skin. While every precaution is taken, nicking can occur, especially if a rabbit is fractious or has hidden mats.
Stress-Related Events: Owners acknowledge that rabbits are "prey animals" and can experience sudden stress-related health issues (including GI stasis or heart failure) that are beyond the groomer's control. Oishi Bunnies is not liable for health complications arising post-grooming.
6. Right to Refuse or Halt Service
Stress Management: The well-being of the rabbit is our #1 priority. If a rabbit shows signs of extreme stress (e.g., blue tinged-lips, excessive panting, or limpness), we reserves the right to stop the session immediately. Full or partial charges may still apply for the time spent.
Aggression: We reserve the right to refuse service to rabbits that are highly aggressive or pose a safety risk to the groomer.
