Coelho & Dias Portuguese Cuttlefish is tender Atlantic cuttlefish from one of Portugal's established seafood producers, frozen to lock in its naturally sweet, clean flavour. With firm, white flesh graded at a 20/40 size and supplied cleaned in a convenient approx 800g pack, it is ready to slice and cook with no fuss.
There are two great ways to cook it. For something richer, braise it low and slow in a tomato or squid-ink stew until meltingly soft. It is perfect for the classic Portuguese arroz de choco (cuttlefish rice), seafood pasta and paella, stir-fries, or simply char-grilled with olive oil, garlic and parsley.
Cuttlefish is naturally high in protein and low in fat, a lean and versatile seafood the whole family can enjoy, and freezing at source keeps its sweetness and firm texture intact.
Best for: Portuguese arroz de choco (cuttlefish rice), stews and stir-fries.
