Fishery Port Wild-Caught Marble Goby / Soon Hock (Gutted/Butterfly) - 600g is a wild-caught marble goby (soon hock), one of the most prized steaming fish with sweet, silky, delicate flesh. Soon hock is the gold standard for Cantonese steamed fish. It is supplied as a 600g whole fish, gutted or butterflied, cleaned and ready to cook.
Whole fish is wonderfully versatile. It is at its very best simply steamed with ginger, spring onion and superior soy. A whole fish this size cooks in around 10 to 15 minutes - it is done when the flesh turns opaque and flakes easily.
Fish is a lean, high-protein source of omega-3. Wild-caught.
Best for: steam, pan-fry, deep-fry, grill or bake.
