Green Sanctuary
This piece is my first major acrylic painting. The significance of this work stems from the spiritual experience I had there. As a Christian going through a very difficult period and in desperate need of peace and resolution, the hike to Rio Seco was what I needed. There I felt the presence of God caress my troubled soul and give me the clarity to move forward. In working on this piece, I wanted to paint it with people but instead avoided that because I wanted it to be intimate—for you to put yourself in the painting and experience this green sanctuary.
Because of the sentimental value of this piece, the original is not for sale but collectors can acquire limited edition prints. This painting captures not just a place, but a moment of transformation.
