Starting Dose: 0.5–2.5 mg weekly, gradually increasing based on tolerance and goals. Higher doses (8–12 mg) are used in trials for greater weight loss.
Reconstitution:
For a 10mg vial, add 1–2 mL of bacteriostatic water to create a 5–10 mg/mL solution. For example:
1 mL water = 10 mg/mL (10 units = 1 mg).
2 mL water = 5 mg/mL (20 units = 1 mg).
Use a sterile syringe, inject water slowly along the vial wall, and gently swirl (don’t shake) to mix. Store at 2–8°C, protected from light, and use within 30 days.
Administration: Subcutaneous injection, typically weekly, using insulin syringes. Rotate injection sites (e.g., abdomen, thigh).
