Ecological sustainability

We grow sustainably farmed gourmet oyster mushrooms. With solar-powered, climate controlled rooms a wide variety of mushrooms can be produced all year round ensuring constant growth and quality mushrooms.

The farm currently utilizes reusable plastic grow bucks for all the mushroom varieties grown.

The energy system installed in the project can generate over 24,000 kWh of sustainable solar power per year, which according to the calculated energy mix saves at least five tons of CO2 each year. We expect the energy system to have a lifetime of 15-20 years, with the batteries used needing to be replaced after about 10 years. According to the manufacturer's warranty, these can either be used for up-cycling or fed into a recycling process.
