The Common Bristlenose Pleco (Ancistrus cirrhosus) is a small, hardy freshwater fish known for its unique, bristle-like appendages on the male's snout. Typically growing to 4-6 inches (10-15 cm), it has a dark brown or gray body with light spots or a mottled pattern, making it an excellent algae eater. This pleco is peaceful and nocturnal, often hiding during the day and becoming more active at night.
