The AS courses provide comprehensive coverage of the practical syllabi at a steady pace, building skills systematically alongside the theory studies. The courses offer opportunities for experimentation, discussion and improving depth of understanding. This includes handling of apparatus, measuring and interpreting data, creating graphs and drawing conclusions as well as how to design and outline experiments.
For students who have limited to no practical experience in a lab, we recommend attending the course(s) for 1 to 3 semesters. We have carefully chosen each semester's range of topics to include as many of the necessary skills as possible and ensure students who wish to enrol for multiple semesters do not repeat activities.
