Today, Yemeni coffee is reclaiming its place among the world’s most sought-after origins. As the specialty coffee movement grows, more people are learning to appreciate coffee not just for caffeine—but for craftsmanship, culture, and character.

In Yemen, coffee farming is an act of generational devotion. For centuries, these producers have cultivated heirloom varieties on terraced mountain farms, often by hand, without the help of modern machinery. Despite war, economic hardship, and export barriers, they’ve continued. Some now push boundaries with experimental processing methods, adding a new dimension to Yemen’s ancient coffee tradition.

It hasn’t been easy—for them or for us.
Logistical delays, border complications, uncertain shipments. But the resilience of Yemeni farmers moved us. Their work deserved to be tasted. So we pushed through—and when we finally cupped these coffees, we were amazed.

This blend features Harazi, Matari, and Khawlani coffee.



What to Expect in the Cup

Many lots carried the unmistakable note of qishr—a traditional Yemeni infusion made from coffee husks. Expect sweetness and fruity acidity as the base, accompanied by hints of chocolate.
