How It Works
Amylin Receptor Agonist: It is a selective, long-acting synthetic analog of human amylin. Amylin is a natural hormone released by the pancreas alongside insulin when you eat.
Appetite Regulation: It acts in the brain to increase feelings of fullness, curb hunger, and signal when a meal is finished.
Slowing Digestion: It slows gastric emptying (how fast food leaves the stomach), which assists with metabolic control and satiety.
Different from GLP-1: Unlike popular GLP-1 medications (such as Ozempic or Wegovy), eloralintide targets amylin receptors directly and does not stimulate mealtime insulin spikes.
