Viña Mayor - Jewel of the Golden Mile. A careful selection of vineyards, controlled ripening of the grapes and the maximum respect for its roots, define the philosophy of Viña Mayor, our winery located in the heart of the so-called Golden Mile, the place where Ribera del Duero wines reach the peak of their expression. Hand harvested grapes from selected vineyards of more than 60 years of age that show great concentration and are located at more than 900m altitude, where they ripen more slowly, thus creating a complex array of aromas and flavors. Aromas of leather and tobacco from the bottle ageing process stand out, combined with notes of ripe black fruit, sweet spices and delicate toast. A wine that is fine, elegant, subtle and complex, showing great balance between the oak and the intensity of the fruit. Well-structured, it is both rounded and with a long, flavorful finish.
