Hass avocado is the most common avocado variety in Australia that is nearly available all year round with a classic oval shape. Hass has a distinctive pebbly textured skin peel colour changes as it ripen from green to purple black with. When ripen, its flesh has a creamy and smooth texture with a sweet nutty finishing. Ripeness indicator: Depends on the firmness and colour of the avocado peel, a hard and olive green peel indicate that it needs another 2 to 3 days. With a slight firm and green/black peel colour mean an additional 1 to 2 days before it being ready. Once soften with a purplish black peel indicate it is ready for consumption.
