Subcategory

You can now create subcategories so customers can navigate long lists of products more easily. Example: Pizza > NY Style > Tomato cheese pizza. To use this feature, go to Admin > Categories and click on Change Sequence. Large categories can be broken down into smaller sections, helping customers find items quickly.

Order edit

You can edit more details of an already placed order, including item name, item price, and options (previously, only the total amount was editable). Go to Admin > Orders, open an order detail page, and look for the Edit option. Learn more

Search in Product Bulk Edit

You can search for items in the bulk edit feature by product name, variant name, or SKU. Edited rows will be highlighted. If edited rows are not visible due to a different search, the system shows how many total rows have been edited and how many are currently in view. Go to Admin > Products > Bulk edit. Learn more

Manual Payment Records

You can add payment records manually for cash or payments received outside Take Appโ€™s flow. This updates the balance due and helps track payment history accurately. Go to Admin > Orders > Order detail, find the Payment section, and click Add payment.

QR Code in Confirmed Order Invoice

When an order is confirmed, the invoice displays a QR code for quick scanning. Staff can easily recognize and check the order status by scanning the code.

Delivery/Pickup Reminder Improved

You can now send automated WhatsApp reminders for any orders, just like delivery orders, with custom notes such as pickup instructions or payment details. Learn more

Review Received WhatsApp Notification

When a review is submitted by a customer, the merchant will automatically receive a WhatsApp notification. This helps merchants respond more quickly to customer feedback. Learn more

Inventory Section in Admin Products

On desktop, the Admin > Products page now shows two columns for easier inventory updates.

"Table Booking" is generalised to "Booking"

The Table Booking feature is now renamed to Booking so any business that requires appointments or reservations can use it. Go to Admin > Booking to enable this function on your storefront. Premium plan required.

Others

  • We limit up to 16 products in the product card on the landing page, and customers can see the full list in the category page with a View all button.
  • Product export now includes category information.
  • Tap Payment is removed for Lebanon.
  • Draft orders are no longer imported in Google Sheet integration and Platform API
  • Person and Box units are added for products.
