Site Speed & Reliability Improvement

As Take App grows, weโ€™ve upgraded our servers to handle more traffic. We did experience a few minutes of downtime this week, but in response, weโ€™ve introduced more powerful servers and implemented additional caching. Next week, we plan to add more server regions (including US-East) to improve speeds in North America, LATAM, and the EU.

Category is Optional to Show in Storefront

Previously, any category you created was automatically displayed in your storefront, which could overwhelm larger catalogs. Now you can create categories and decide whether or not to display them publicly. Categories will continue to appear in search results and the menu by default.

Delivery Proof Upload by Drivers

For stores using In-house delivery, our automated WhatsApp message to drivers now includes an โ€œUpdate Statusโ€ button. Drivers can use this to change the delivery status and optionally upload proof-of-delivery images. These photos are added to Admin > Orders automatically.

Delivery Reminder

Weโ€™ve introduced an automated WhatsApp notification option for delivery orders. Enabling โ€œSend reminder before deliveryโ€ in Delivery Settings sends a reminder message to the customer before their scheduled delivery. This feature can help reduce delivery failuresโ€”particularly for COD (Cash on Delivery) ordersโ€”by giving them a heads up. You can configure how many hours in advance the reminder is sent.

Profits by Date Analytics Report

Merchants can now see daily profit data under Analytics > Profits by Date. This figure is calculated as (Total Sales) โ€“ (Total Costs). Make sure youโ€™ve entered cost details for each product to get accurate results.

Search & Category Page Pagination

Weโ€™ve added pagination to both the Search and Category pages. Previously, these pages displayed a maximum of 100 items. Now, customers can view all products in a category or search result, and you can share direct links for specific pages.

Map Location Suggestion with Google Maps

As a continuous effort for Google Map coverage, weโ€™ve added Google Map support for address suggestion in delivery location map UI. Google Maps typically provides better coverage than OpenStreetMap. You can switch map providers in Admin > Settings > General > Map Provider (Business plan required)
