Aqiqah or Korban in Tarim

Aqiqah or Korban in Tarim

We offer goats that not only fulfill the religious requirements but also contribute to a greater cause—feeding the needy in Tarim, where meat is rarely consumed by those in need. By choosing our services, you are ensuring your Aqiqah or Nazar is performed with the utmost care and charity, while helping to support the underprivileged in a meaningful way.

### What are the rules of Aqiqah?
The Aqiqah is an important Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, performed to express gratitude to Allah ﷻ for the gift of a child. It involves the slaughter of two sheep or goats for a boy and one for a girl. The Aqiqah is traditionally done on the 7th day after the child’s birth, but if that’s not possible, it can be performed later.

### When to Perform Aqiqah:
- 7th day after birth: Ideal and recommended time.
- 14th or 21st day: Alternative days if the 7th day isn’t feasible.
- Anytime later: If for some reason, you cannot perform it on the above days, you can do so at a later date. There is no deadline on this, infact you can do Aqiqah on yourself if you know that for some reasons, your parents were not able to complete one for you, no matter your age.

### How to Perform Aqiqah:
1. Animal Selection: Two goats for a boy, and one goat for a girl, in line with the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
2. Slaughter: The meat is distributed to friends, family, and those in need.
3. Charity: Some or all of the meat is given to those who cannot afford it, making it a beautiful act of worship.

#### Hadith on Aqiqah:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “Every child is in pledge for its Aqiqah which is sacrificed for him on the seventh day, and he is named, and his head is shaved.” (Abu Dawood)

Performing Aqiqah is a way of expressing gratitude to Allah ﷻ for His blessings and seeking protection for your child.

3. Cook and Distribute (Extra Service): The goat will be cooked with rice, packed, and distributed to individuals and families in need.

5. Majlis with Meat (Premium Option): Hold a majlis where the goat meat with rice is cooked and served, making it a more elaborate and special occasion.

### Is Aqiqah Compulsory?
While Aqiqah is not compulsory, it is highly recommended and emphasized by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a means of showing gratitude to Allah ﷻ for the birth of a child. By performing this act, you are also fulfilling a Sunnah of the Prophet, which brings blessings and protection to your child.

By choosing us for your Aqiqah or Nazar, you not only fulfill a spiritual obligation but also make a significant impact on the lives of the less fortunate in Tarim.
