I’ve been wanting to start a club where kids can come together weekly to practice hosting, acting/drama, voiceover, and expressive skills in a fun and interactive way. Drawing from my experience as a TV programme director producer, I hope to create an engaging environment where children can build confidence in the Chinese language, improve their communication skills, and develop strong expressive abilities through hands-on experiences.
What I hope to create is more than just a training space - I envision a nurturing environment where children not only develop their skills but also gradually gain the ability to create something of their own. This takes time, but with continuous practice and guidance, I believe they can grow into confident and expressive Mandarin speakers.
My hope is that this club becomes a space where kids can continue to grow beyond their primary school years, nurturing their creative expression, confidence, and fluency in Mandarin. Perhaps in the future, if the opportunity arises, we may even be able to bring their creations and performances onto the stage, allowing them to showcase their talents to a wider audience.
