About the Teacher:
A passionate educator and lifelong student of the Quran, Ustaz Ilyas holds a Degree in Islamic Sciences & Arabic Literature from the Institute of Islamic Education, UK. He is certified in 10 Qiraat (the Ten Recitations of the Quran) and holds a Certificate in the Memorisation of the Holy Quran.
With over a decade of experience teaching Tajweed and Quranic recitation across various mosques and Islamic centres in Singapore, Ustaz Ilyas is known for his calm, sincere, and compassionate approach to teaching—values deeply rooted in his own learning journey.
He has also served as an imam leading congregational prayers for the past 10 years, and strongly believes that no one is beyond hope—no matter their past disinterest or struggle. Through his work at Beelievers Academy, he hopes to raise students who love the Quran even more than he does—not just as reciters, but as seekers and believers.
