Lamivudine, Stavudine and Nevirapine 30Mg Tablets

Lamivudine, Stavudine and Nevirapine 30Mg Tablets

Lamivudine, Stavudine and Nevirapine Tablets

Description:
Lamivudine, Stavudine and Nevirapine Tablets are a fixed-dose combination antiretroviral medication used in the treatment of HIV-1 (Human Immunodeficiency Virus type 1) infection. This triple therapy belongs to the class of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) and works by inhibiting the replication of the virus, thereby reducing viral load and improving immune function.

Composition:

Lamivudine – a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI)

Stavudine – a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI)

Nevirapine – a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI)

Therapeutic Uses:

Treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and adolescents

Used as part of combination antiretroviral therapy to delay disease progression and improve quality of life

Mechanism of Action:
Lamivudine and Stavudine work by inhibiting the reverse transcriptase enzyme, blocking viral DNA synthesis. Nevirapine complements this action by binding directly to reverse transcriptase, preventing the virus from multiplying further. This combined action helps lower the viral load and boosts the body’s immune defense.

Packaging:
Typically available in blister or bottle packaging, with common configurations such as 10x10 tablets (100 tablets per box), or customized per client and regulatory needs.

Note:
This medication should be taken under strict medical supervision. Periodic monitoring of liver function, blood counts, and viral load is recommended during therapy. Lamivudine, Stavudine, and Nevirapine Tablets are not a cure for HIV but significantly help in managing the infection when used consistently as prescribed.
