Caberdost 0.5 mg Tablets contain Cabergoline, a dopamine agonist used primarily to treat conditions related to excessive prolactin production, such as hyperprolactinemia. Cabergoline works by stimulating dopamine receptors in the brain, which in turn reduces prolactin levels. Elevated prolactin levels can lead to conditions such as infertility, irregular menstruation, galactorrhea (milk production unrelated to breastfeeding), and sexual dysfunction. By lowering prolactin levels, Caberdost helps restore normal reproductive function and address these associated symptoms.
In addition to treating hyperprolactinemia, Cabergoline is also used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and Restless Leg Syndrome by improving dopamine activity in the brain.
